Lana Del Rey – Think Bensonium

Day 466: Video Games Lana Del Rey

This song was on her Born to Die album. I always find Lana’s voice quite haunting with a sad quality about it even when the lyrics have nothing to do with a sad theme.

Day 392: Chemtrails over the country club, Lana Del Rey

Err so where do I begin with this one. Lana Del Rey is certainly a very interesting musician and this one of her latest songs fresh off the press so to speak as it was only released in January of 2021. It has Del Rey’s trademark voice but it also is a very interesting video combining a lot of mixed imagery which about three quarters of the way through the video enters a horror genre. It is also interesting to observe how Covid-19 has written itself into the video as Del Rey dons at least two styles of face mask during the video.

Day 78: Born to Die by Lana Del Rey

The next set of songs were never part of the original facebook posts as I finished the postings on day 77. However, given Covid has dragged on and I have now created my own website, I thought I would continue the playlist. Got to now play catch-up so will publish a week’s worth of songs each day. This one was the next one I had on my list. Certainly a dark song which sadly captures the spirit of our age.
