At around the same time Prince released “When Doves Cry” (see yesterday’s post) this song also made it into the Aussie charts. Again this song is strongly associated with my time at Sydney University. Looking back, they certainly were some of the happiest days of my life. I wonder if Bonnie needed some throat sweets …

This hit led me to buy my very first record back in the early 70s. Sadly at that age I didn’t really relate well to the rest of the album but now it is one of my favourites.
Time for some more Dire Straits I feel. Something to make you all feel jolly.
