Appendix
- There is another subtle difference here. In common parlance, non-finite can be used to mean a non-specified number, in the sense that the number is very large but not quantifiable. However, this is very different from the strict mathematical definition of infinity which only exists within the concept of a mathematical limit where an algebraic expression is evaluated as one of its variables is allowed to become infinitely large.
