Week 51 Video Playlist Summary
Ok so this week has some very good videos. In fact these three that are worth watching from a visual point of view.
- All those years ago, George Harrison
- Good Company, Queen
- Thank you, Dido
I like the George Harrison video because it is like a personal memory video of his days in the Beatles. Watching it actually makes me feel a little sad knowing that the phenomenon of the Beatles can never be experienced again.
Similarly Queen’s Good Company video is a compilation of all sorts of very old movie reels capturing the everyday life of English folk; from marriage to work to play. Very visually interesting to watch as it fits nicely with the lyrics of the song. I particularly like the old guy playing the ukulele
However, my vote for the best video this week goes to Dido’s Thank you. Love the purple house with a suburban garden wrongly situated in the middle of what looks like a city block. Also like the way Dido moves from room to room with the camera panning through the dissected walls. Dido taking her hair dryer from the bailiff also adds a slightly comical touch to this excellent video which accompanies a really great Dido song.
